A shocking case has come to light in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. Where a 56-year-old day laborer in Delhi kidnapped his one-month-old granddaughter. He was then allegedly given away to a married woman with whom he was having an affair.
In this case, the police said that the accused has been identified as Mohammad Zafar (56). Zafar’s girlfriend was married with no children. In such a situation, she had asked her 56-year-old boyfriend to adopt a child. In this sequence, the accused planned to rob the newborn from the house of his daughter and his son-in-law who lived in Nagina, Bijnor. However, now the accused Mohammad Zafar has been arrested and sent to jail.
Giving information, Bijnor SP Dharamveer Singh said: “Qasim Ahmed was sleeping at home with his four children and his wife, but he found his daughter missing on the morning of April 20. Faced with this situation, he went to the police station and filed a report that the girl had disappeared. When the police investigated the matter, based on CCTV footage, Zafar, Qasim Ahmed’s father-in-law, was called in for questioning.
Under police questioning, Mr. Zafar told police that about three years ago he had fallen in love with a woman who lived in his neighborhood. SP Dharamvir Singh said, about a month before the incident, Mr. Zafar had asked his daughter to hand over one of his sons, but his daughter Zafar was denied the child.
For this case, the police have now registered a case against Zafar, his girlfriend, and her husband for kidnapping and buying, and selling. The 40-year-old woman and her husband went to Bihar after stealing the newborn, the SP said. The SP says that two police teams have been formed to arrest the couple in the case and bring back the child.
