Many people raised concerns about Jamia Masjid’s closure in Srinagar.
The historic Jamia Masjid, Srinagar Jammu, and Kashmir have closed again on Thursday night due to the law and order situation. Locals are questioning the administration’s claim of “normalcy in the Valley” after being prevented from offering prayers for Jumat-ul-Wida and Shab-e-Qadr. After the August 2019 abrogation, the mosque was closed for the majority of the next two-and-a-half years. This was due to the Kovid protocol. As of March 1, this mosque was reopened.
