Muzaffarnagar. Khatauli police have issued fines to a dozen and a half vehicles that were overloaded while passing through the city area on Tuesday night. Preparations are underway to stop large vehicles from entering the city during the day. Large vehicles cause traffic jams in the city. Inspector Sanjeev Kumar said that after entering the city on Tuesday night, vehicles carrying overloaded goods were stopped and investigated.
A fine of more than Rs 40,000 was collected from about 17 overloaded vehicles. At the same time, soldiers stationed at the Jansath Tiraha police checkpoint were warned that even during the day, large vehicles will not enter the congested areas. They will be dispatched by road or other routes.
