The SSP suspended Yogesh Sharma, in charge of the Shukratal police post, after the incident of a young man drowning in the Ganges during Buddha Purnima bathing in Bijnor Ganga Khadar went viral on the internet media. Nikhil, a resident of Datiana village of Chhapar police station area, drowned while bathing in Ganga in Ganga Khadar area of Mandawar police station area in Bijnor on Buddha Purnima on Monday. The Shukratal police post in charge, Yogesh Sharma, had arrived at the scene, but the inspector had told the Mandawar police station in Bijnor the location of the incident.
