Muzaffarnagar A Muzaffarnagar court acquitted son Baru, accused in the milk adulteration case, after 25 years for lack of evidence. Even though the milk sample test report came back negative, the prosecution was unable to present the local food inspector in court even after 23 years.

According to the prosecution, food inspector Madan Singh from Meghakhedi, Headquarters area, carried out the sampling on 27 February 1997 at Goyla Mod Shahpur by arresting the matador filled with cow and buffalo milk. Milk samples in 3 vials were sent to Mass Analyst Laboratory, Lucknow for analysis.
Whose report was received on April 4, 1997. Which came out negative. Following this, a complaint was filed in court against the accused lawyer, Baru’s son, a resident of Postkhana Mubarikpur Police Station, Mansoorpur, under various adulteration sections.
The trial was held in the court of ACJM-1 Prashant Kumar. During the hearing, the plaintiff’s food inspector, Madan Singh, testified in court on January 28, 1999. But the prosecution was unable to obtain the testimony of witness food inspector Purkaji MV Sharma in court for 23 years.
On March 29, 2022, the court terminated the trial period. After hearing the arguments of both parties, the court acquitted the accused lawyer Putra Baru for lack of evidence. Prosecutor Ram Avtar Singh said that he is respecting the court’s decision. The decision is contested. Which will be appealed.
