Muzaffarnagar. A meeting on the preparations for the Jyeshtha Ganga Dussehra fair was held at the inspection building located in Shuktirth. A budget of seven lakh 26 thousand rupees was approved for the fair. The main bathroom of the fair will be on June 9. District Panchayat Chairman Dr. Veerpal Nirwal said that no toll tax would be levied on devotees and private passenger buses etc. come to the fair.
The Jyeshtha Ganga Dussehra fair will be hosted by the district panchayat from June 7 to 10, while the fair will open on June 7 in the evening with Ganga aarti and the main bath will be on June 9. A preparatory meeting for the fair was organized on Tuesday. In which the Secretary General of Shri Ganga Seva Samiti, Dr. Mehkar Singh raised the issue of the lowering of Ganga’s water level.
District Panchayat Jitendra Tomar additional director said that in the year 2019, seven lakh 10 lakhs were spent on organizing the fair. A budget of Rs.7 lakh 26 thousand has been maintained for this year’s fair. Pradhan’s husband, Rajpal Saini, said that the Ganga Ghat should be submerged 24 hours a day.
CO Girja Shankar Tripathi said that CCTV would be installed in several places to keep an eye on anti-social elements at the fair. SDM Jansath Jayendra Singh said that on May 26, sanitation workers from Kshetra Panchayat and Nagar Panchayat Bhokarhedi will carry out the cleanup through a cleanup campaign at Ganga Ghat. At the meeting, Ramkumar Sharma from BJP Cultural Cell, BDO Ram Ashish, Junior Drainage Engineer Shravan Kumar, SDO DK Tomar from PWD, Pankaj Rai in charge of Bhopa Police Station, ADO Chandraprakash Sharma, EO Surjit Kumar, Vinod Sharma, medical officer in charge. Dr. Arjun Singh, Dr. RD Gaur, Surendra Singh, Pradeep Nirwal, Ravindra Kumar, etc. were present.
