Muzaffarnagar. Anju, daughter of Paltu Singh, a resident of Safipur village in the Budhana Police Station area, alleges that she was married to Dr. Pankaj, a resident of Morna, about six years ago. Her in-laws began to harass her for an additional dowry.
The married woman has filed a case against her doctor husband and his brother alleging dowry harassment, assault and remarriage.
Husband Pankaj and in-laws borrowed fifty thousand rupees from their father a year ago. When they were asked to return the money, they began to beat him and keep him hungry and thirsty. Three months ago, after putting him in the car, he dumped him near his village Safipur and fled. The married woman also alleges that her husband has married a girl from Delhi for the second time.
The victim has been sick for a long time, so a financial crisis has also arisen in front of her. Anju had complained about this to the Women’s Protection Cell operating in the Collector’s Office for women’s safety, under whose orders a report was filed on Tuesday against her husband Pankaj and her brother.
