In Varanasi, BHU students purify the Vice Chancellor’s residence with Gangajal. The Iftar party was held here on Wednesday (April 27, 2022) two days ago. After this, the students of the university began to protest. Today is the third day of the protest. These students went to the VC residence and raised slogans and are now demanding that VC apologize. Student leaders say such events should not be held on campus.
BHU Iftar Party Students
Other university officials, including the vice-chancellor of BHU, also attended the Iftar party. When the students found out about this, they started an uproar. The students cleaned up the VC residence and now show their protest against the Vice-Chancellor.
A protesting student said: “The university is becoming more and more the center of the Hindu protest. The Vice-Chancellor of the University is silent on the matter. These elements have VC protection. Malviya Ji also lived in this house, all these works are being done against her intention. Those who are VC present are anti-Hindu.”
The student further said, “We had come to purify your residence for those people who are against Mahamana’s wishes. If we can’t run the university as Mahamana’s intention, then they are polluting the residence and the campus, so we came to do the purification.”
Protesting the Iftar party outside the VC residence here, the students shaved their heads and continuously demand an apology from the Vice-Chancellor. A shaving student said: “The Iftar party was held in a renowned university and there is talk of doing BHU Kashmir on the walls. VCs are fully communicative people, they are not suitable for the VC position of a university like BHU. If you love Islam so much, you like to celebrate iftar, celebrate Eid and keep fasting, then you should give up and leave.
